Pekanbaru, May 6, 2026 - PT Bumi Siak Pusako Zapin continues to strengthen its commitment in building clean, transparent, accountable, and integrity corporate governance through the launch of the ISO 37001:2025-based Anti-Bribery Management System (SMAP) and Whistleblowing System (WBS).
The launching activity was coupled with the Socialization of Law Number 1 Year 2023 on Criminal Code with the theme "Legal Navigation: Implementation of the New Criminal Code and Mitigation of Corporate Criminal Risk in the Environment of PT Bumi Siak Pusako Zapin" which was held in Pekanbaru, Wednesday (6/5/2026).

The event was also attended by the Regent of Siak, Dr. Afni Z, S.A.P., M.Si., who was also the keynote speaker. In his delivery, the Regent of Siak emphasized that the existence of Regional-Owned Enterprises or BUMDs has a strategic role in supporting regional development, not only through business activities, but also through healthy, transparent corporate governance, and is able to make a real contribution to society.
The Regent of Siak said that integrity must be the main guideline in managing regional companies. According to him, every institution that works in the public sphere must be ready to be supervised by the public, so a system is needed that can encourage openness, compliance, accountability, and prevention of potential irregularities.
On this occasion, the Regent of Siak appreciated the steps of PT Bumi Siak Pusako Zapin which began to strengthen the corruption prevention system through the implementation of SMAP based on ISO 37001: 2025 and the implementation of the Whistleblowing System. According to him, the presence of this system is proof of the company's seriousness in building a work environment that is clean from the practice of bribery, fraud, conflicts of interest, abuse of authority, and other ethical violations.
The Siak Regent also emphasized that SMAP and WBS are not just administrative instruments, but are part of a culture of integrity that must be applied consistently. Through WBS, the company provides a safe and reliable reporting space for internal and external parties to submit allegations of violations while maintaining the principles of confidentiality and protection of the reporter.
In addition, the Siak Regent also mentioned his pride in the role of young people who are able to present digital solutions in supporting corporate governance. He said that the involvement of the younger generation in the development of systems such as WBS is proof that regional youth have the ability, creativity and competitiveness in responding to the needs of the times.
According to him, innovations born from young people must continue to be given space and support, especially when the work can provide real benefits for institutions, companies, and the wider community. The presence of the WBS system developed by students is an example that collaboration between the world of education and the world of industry can produce breakthroughs that have a positive impact.

At this momentum, PT Bumi Siak Pusako Zapin also expressed its appreciation to the student developers who took part in the development of the Whistleblowing System, namely Hidayatur Romadhan and Nurulfadhlia from Politeknik Negeri Bengkalis. The involvement of students in the development of this system is a form of positive collaboration between the world of education and the world of industry, especially in presenting digital solutions that support corporate governance.
This contribution shows that technological innovation can be born from cross-sector collaboration. Through the development of the WBS system, students not only play a role in the technical aspects of making applications, but also support the company's efforts to strengthen transparency, accountability, and a more modern reporting mechanism.
